Tatts ‘n’ Talent Theatre Company are thrilled to announce that we have been asked to be the original UK cast, for a famous, long running (over 13 years), award winning, US musical.
We will be the first to ever perform this incredible musical in the UK, and we are absolutely thrilled!
The Green Room started as a one-act play by Rod Damer. Chuck Pelletier wrote the music and lyrics. It was performed at the Off Hollywood Theatre Company where Stephen Foster served as artistic director.
The Green Room follows four students through all three years of their acting course, where naturally, they spend all of their time in ‘The Green Room’. This beautiful musical not only follows their life as a group, but also their individual stories, until their final all nighter.
This musical is truly special. There is no set musical genre, as it features everything from pop, to rock, to blues, and everything in between. There is also no set genre for the musical in general. It has funny bits, it has heart warming bits, it has sad bits, and a beautiful underlying message, which is sure to touch everyone who comes to watch it.
The characters are all so relatable. Everyone knows someone like each of them, hey, one of them may even be you!
We follow Divonne, the quirky one, Anna, the pretty one, Cliff, the excitable nerd, and John, the jock.
This musical is guaranteed to make you wow, to make you laugh, to make you cry, and to make you aww, make sure you’re there when The Green Room arrives for it’s First Year!

Rod Damer is an actor as well as a writer, originally from Chicago. He has had small roles in “House,” “Vegas,” “Common Law,” “Zodiac” and “Alien Resurrection.” He’s also worked extensively with the Laguna Playhouse’s Theatereach program for young audiences. Years ago, he enjoyed the humble confines of a green room in the bowels of the theater building at St. Olaf College. It was a space claimed, for a brief time, by its denizens – an ever-changing cast of characters coming and going throughout the day, the weeks, the shows, the years. Within it, all strove for connection – be it in the real world or in the world of theater – that confirmed our humanness.
